These screen savers retain the full brilliance, color accuracy, and fine detail of the original fractals. They can be enjoyed directly from your IBM class Windows PC CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, BD-ROM, HD DVD-ROM drive. The purpose of screen savers is to protect any computer monitor or HD TV from burn in. Q: What is burn in?
A: Burn in happens to displays when text or graphics remains on-screen in the same spot without changing. A permanent ghost of the text or graphic can then be seen when the monitor, TV, or HD TV is on or off.

The time you choose between images (their interval rate) dictates how quickly images appear and last on-screen.
When choosing how often you want the fractals to appear on screen please keep this in mind. The faster they show the less time there is to appreciate their beauty. It also means the Video Art will end sooner. Screen Saver Art is set to loop endlessly. A keystroke or movement of your pointing device is enough to exit back into Windows. *Free gift messages are available on customized titles only. Any titles that are pre-made do not have this option. When buying a title that has not been pre-made your personal information (name and address for example) will be inserted into the screen saver file. This is the same method used for protecting my Video Art from unauthorized duplications. Click on "Customer Insert Image" at the top of the page to get a feel for what your insert may look like.

Any home and/or office PC where art is appreciated, Art Galleries, Book Stores, Day Cares / Pre-Schools, Fund Raisers, Gifts, Hotels, Ladies' Fitness Centers, Parties, Relaxation, Salons, Schools, Spas, Theatres, Trade Shows, Visual / Sensory Stimulation for Developmentally Disabled Persons, Waiting Rooms, etc.
Fractals can be soothing, inspiring, lively. How they are perceived is largely dependent on the person looking at them, the environment where the fractal is viewed, and the music (if any) that is being played. Each person may have an experience that differs from someone who is sitting inches away. Truly these are like clouds. A unique experience awaits to be discovered.
They are ideal for "ice breakers". Shy people who want to be part of a conversation often have difficulty getting started. When you are among a group who are possibly seeing my fractals for the first time it is easier to be part of a conversation that discusses them. Spas and salons can use them to lighten the moods of their clients. Daycares and schools can use them to turn young minds onto the awesome beauty of math. Too often young people do not think math and science has any relation to their personal life. Fractals have terrific potency for persons seeking to widen their perspective by actually working with the math that produces these beautiful images. Students can also learn to create their own fractals, possibly leading to Fractal Clubs. Students may have already seen programming on PBS about fractal art. Public Broadcasting Systems can show new fractals with a greater variety of shapes.
Screen Saver Art for Windows PC
Screen Saver Art generally has a resolution of 1024 x 768 (standard XGA.) If you're using a wide screen display these use non-standard resolutions. My fractals may appear pixelated if they are being viewed at a non-standard resolution. Wide format displays tend to stretch images or video to fit their odd-shaped screens. Please be certain that your display can handle my fractals at their native resolution in order to avoid this problem. The fractals on each title are preset to randomly change once every five to thirty seconds. This interval rate is pre-determined by the customer. Once the recording is made the user cannot change their interval rate. Each time the Screen Saver Art is played it generates a new sequence of images. Screen Saver Art CDs feature the customer's name and my copyright notice on the disc's label and case inserts. Along the bottom edge of each fractal is my copyright notice.
**A FREE single line message may be included on the disc's label. This can be used to personalize for yourself, a friend, a gift, etc.
**Customers who wish to further enhance their Screen Saver Art can have a single graphic/text image inserted. Your image/text will appear randomly throughout the playback session. The link provided at the top of this page shows an insert I made for a friend's holiday present. Plasma clouds make excellent backgrounds for this type of insert. Their vivid colors aren't too distracting. Offensive graphics and/or text may be refused at my discretion. Screen Saver Art can be enjoyed with virtually any genre of music. Or you can watch them without music. They do not feature soundtracks.
If you own a HD TV with VGA inputs you could use it as a computer display. You'll need a VGA extension cable to add an extra ten feet to the length of your PC video cable. This is also handy for people using multiple SBCs (single board computers.) Or for people with dual monitor outputs. Feed the signal of one or more of your SBCs and/or VGA from your PC(s) to your HD TV(s).
I can't promise your equipment will automatically set the resolution. Please read your manual to see how it handles incoming computer signals.
