My fractals are ideal for:
My fractal animations are ideal for parties, art shows, performances, theaters, or other social functions where an eye catching display is desired. Please contact me to schedule a Fractal Light Show. Other uses for my fractal explorations may include: Aircraft Entertainment, Airports, Art Galleries, Bars, Book Stores, Clubs, Concerts, Conventions, Dances, Day Cares, Fund Raisers, Gifts, Gyms, Hotels, Indoor & Outdoor Projections, Libraries, Offices, Parties, Pre-School, Physical Therapy, Raves, Relaxation, Salons, Schools, Spas, Theaters, Trade Shows, Visual / Sensory Stimulation for Developmentally Disabled Persons, Waiting Rooms, etc.
Fractals can be soothing, inspiring, lively. How they are perceived is largely dependent on the person looking at them, the environment where the fractal is viewed, and the music (if any) that is being played. Each person may have an experience that differs from someone who is sitting inches away. Truly these are like clouds. A unique experience awaits to be discovered. They are ideal for "ice breakers". Shy people who want to be part of a conversation often have difficulty getting started. When you are among a group who are possibly seeing my fractals for the first time it is easier to be part of a conversation that discusses them. Spas and salons can use them to lighten the moods of their clients. Daycares and schools could use them to turn young minds onto the awesome beauty of math. Too often young people do not think math and science has any relation to their personal life. Fractals have terrific potency for persons seeking to widen their perspective by actually working with the math that produces these beautiful images. Students can also learn to create their own fractals, possibly leading to Fractal Clubs. Students may have already seen programming on PBS about fractal art. Public Broadcasting Systems could show new fractals with a greater variety of shapes.
(Deep Zooming HD Fractal Movie):
Each animated segment of my fractal movie is self-contained. Some segments start and end on a common color (black, white, yellow, blue, etc), while others have striking differences for their start and end colors. I can re-arrange them in any order desired. They can be played as individual animations (once or continuously looped), run back-to-back, played in reverse order, or looped as a whole for continuous playback. The results are varied and nearly seamless in transition. I use these two HD resolutions: 1024 by 768 and 1280 by 1024 for my fractal explorations.
Each person may have an experience that differs from others who are seeing the same sequences. Comments I have gotten are "It looks 3D", "It feels like I'm floating", "Cool!", "Did you see it move? I didn't know it was moving until the screen turned", "very trippy". The end of the first sequence always garners a "whoa" sound from the audience. Red Neon has been the favorite of 890 elementary and high school students. My animations do not feature soundtracks.
The customer supplies their own DLP or LCD projector(s) and projector screen(s). Projectors must have a native resolution of 1024 by 768, 1280x1024, or higher. It must be equipped with standard PC 15-pin VGA type connector, and be capable of displaying 24-bit color depth or better. If the customer wishes to use their HD TV (CRT, DLP, LCD, LED, OLED, etc) then their set must have a PC video input (sometimes called a "VGA port", "PC", "RGB", or "PC 15-pin" VGA type connector). Their HD TV will need to support at least 1024 x 768p or 1280 x 1024p PC resolution. It should also have a fast response time of 2 - 6 ms for smoothest motion.
ChromaDepth 3D glasses enhance my fractal art by making the warm colors such as reds and oranges appear to float off the screen, yellows and greens may appear neutral, and cooler colors like blue and purple sink into the screen. Many participants who have seen my animations and printed works through ChromaDepth 3D glasses have tried to scoop, grab, poke what they are seeing. ChromaDepth 3D glasses are not included in my fees. These can be purchased online from several sources. Or, if you prefer the Crayola 3D glasses also use the same ChromaDepth 3D technology. Their red framed glasses tend to fit adults a little better than their green variety. If you wear glasses you may wish to wear the ChromaDepth 3D glasses under yours. For me this provides a more satisfying illusion. But for comfort's sake wearing them over your glasses may be the way to go.
Mobile Art Show terms & fees are as follows:
Basic Rate = $100.00 per hour (or any part thereof). The hourly rate covers one session per classroom.
Daily Rate = $425.00 for up to 6 hours (or any part thereof).
Travel and lodging expenses may be incurred as an additional fee to the Basic and/or Daily Rates above. Normally I can set-up and break down my art show within a single day or less without the need to stay overnight. Additional travel expenses are charged for a distance greater than 20 miles per show (in either direction) at the rate of 50 cents per mile. Full cash payment must be made before my mobile art show is setup. No exceptions. Please be sure to discuss this with me via E-mail.
Each "Guide To Fractals" booklet features: plastic comb spine, sturdy clear plastic cover, strong black plastic backing, up to thirty-five color and b&w pages. These booklets have numerous colorful fractal illustrations printed with economical toner inks. They are limited to one copy per participating class, per paid session. The information contained in my "Guide To Fractals" booklets was originally created by personnel at Rice University and other math teachers. I have been authorized by all parties to provide copies of their work in the form of my booklets.
So, what do you get with my mobile fractal art show?

* Display of my fractal art as Limited Edition and/or Open Run giclees ranging in size from 11 by 14 inches up to 24 by 36 inches. Art on display may be double matted, mounted & laminated, and/or framed. All Limited Edition art is hand signed, titled, and numbered by the artist.
* Flip displays which permit people to flip through an assortment of my prints at their leisure.
* Random Fractal Art prizes offers each randomly chosen winner (a student or teacher for example) to choose one fractal product to be used in their classroom. The fractal products to choose from may include:
Giclees are printed with pigmented inks that are highly resistant to fading, smearing, and smudging. Smaller prints priced at $25.00 each will last up to 50 years before fading is visible to the naked eye. Prints priced at $50 or more will last up to 100 years before fading is visible to the naked eye. LightJet prints are a zero ink method which utilizes red, green, blue lasers to "print" to Fuji Crystal paper. These too will last up to 100 years before fading is visible to the naked eye. How long a print lasts primarily depends on how well it is treated, cared for, or handled.
