Introduction:

Each fractal pattern is a Special Edition production.  What does that mean to you?  That each fractal pattern will be printed no more than 100 times.  After a fractal's 100th print it is no longer sold as a pattern. How can I afford to do that?  I have a separate and unique inventory of fractals just for cross stitch.  All of my designs are an ideal round robin project. What sets my charts apart from the competition is their level of detail and high print quality.  Fractals are an extremely detailed art form.  Although my patterns feature 30 stitches per inch you can easily change that to whatever you like (14 to 22 for example.)  My charts feature quality and attention to detail that mass produced charts do not offer.  The quality that you get from my fractals for cross stitch far surpass what the competition has to offer.  Each chart page can be sewn as a stand alone piece.  Then it can be assembled as a mural design.

All charts are printed using Archival Pigment inks that will last up to 100 years before noticeable fading starts to occur.  Sealing them in an Ultra Violet (UV) protective lamination provides additional longevity.  Do you like to mark your progress?  Lamination allows you to wipe off those marks when you are done.  It also seals out finger prints, stains, spills, smoke from cigarettes, pipes, cigars, and dust particles.  All patterns are printed to acid-free papers.

What RGB means for you:

RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue.  Each of these colors has a numerical value of 0 to 255.  By blending the RGB color values it is possible to create 16.77 million color variations.

If you enjoy crafting with tile, paint, wood, metals, etc then consider buying my RGB values. This will enable you to accurately translate up to 200 colors as used in my  Counted Cross Stitch Patterns.

With the RGB values you can use my patterns in new artistic ways. Such as painting, etched glass / plexiglass, wall or floor ceramic tile, decorative yard treatments, decorative candles / wax forms, stained glass.

You can commission Photo Patterns from your own pictures and scans too. Please do not submit copyrighted works unless you have the written authorization for their use. Scanned images or digital pictures from magazines, books, newspapers, the InterNet, Newsgroups, Clip art, and so forth are all examples of potentially copyrighted works.

No other company or artist lets you do so much with their patterns. Why settle for less?
Anybody can work a quickie. Give yourself a challenge. My Fractal Art for Counted Cross Stitch makes a swank wall mural too. Discover new possibilities. You will be rewarded like never before.

Easy to adapt:

Here are examples showing how easy it is to adapt my highly detailed charts to suit your exact needs and/or skill level. By default all charts are printed using 30 stitches per inch. This does not affect the design of the charts themselves.

The divide symbol is represented as a forward slash. Measurements are

a) the pattern's dimensions
b) the user adjustable stitches
c) how those figures equate to inches for a finished piece

a) 500 /
b) 30 =
c) 16.66

An example of this is 500w/30=16.66 inches. 360h/30=12 inches.

At 30 stitches per inch the quality of the pattern reflects the greatest detail in the chart. At 16.66 by 12 inches you would need a magnifier and would subject your eyesight to strain. To ease this you can also adjust the size of your stitches from 1 over 1 to something like 2 over 2. As you use more squares to create a single cross stitch the chart reveals its detail while simultaneously creating an over-sized wall mural. The point of this exercise is to illustrate the flexibility every stitcher has in their craft.

Notes about "51 Flags"

The pattern “51 flags” features all 50 state flags atop our national flag. It DOES NOT use the new Georgia State flag(s). Instead it features the 1956 Georgia flag. 51 Flags has an unlimited print life. It is ideally suited for round robins. Can you name all 50 state flags? (HINT: they're not all in alphabetical order.) 51 Flags uses 71 colors and you may wish to replace 327 violet very dark (used in place of the blues in star field) with flag blue, navy blue, or any shade blue of your liking. Please consult your favorite stitch shop or the DMC-USA website for color conversion information.

The pattern measures 500w x 296h or 35.71w x 21.14h inches (14 count) and 31.25 x 18.5 inches (16 count.)

About Copyrights:

I know it is popular to make backup copies of patterns. Some designers permit this in some way or another. Others (like myself) do not grant permission to make copies of our creations.  When someone makes an unauthorized duplicate of a Copyrighted work they are depriving that artist of revenue.  Not to mention the legal implications of violating someone's Copyrights.

If you need a working copy of my fractal patterns I will gladly sell you as many as you need (not to exceed 100 prints per fractal pattern.)  A better solution is to laminate my loose leaf charts. Then you can mark them up and wipe them clean when you have finished the pattern.  As a security measure all patterns may be printed on watermarked papers.

Catalog Navigation Guidelines :

When looking at my library you may be tempted to simply use the thumbnails to judge whether a fractal is worthwhile or not.  For some fractals their detail isn't represented well as a thumbnail.  Try clicking on some to see their full-screen size.  At the bottom of each gallery page are navigation buttons (shown below.)    They are present in both thumbnail mode and full-screen mode.  When you are looking at a fractal in its full-screen version you will see the green plasma cube beneath it.  It will return you to the page where that particular fractal resides.

You can navigate across multiple pages forwards or backwards while in thumbnail mode and full-screen mode.  In most browsers if you hover your pointing device's cursor over one of these buttons it will show which page and volume it links to.  For some browsers a text window will appear.  In others you may find it in the bottom of your browser pane.  When used in conjunction with the URL / address bar at the top of your browser this makes it easier to figure out where you are and how to get back to that fractal you liked so much.  You can also edit the text from the URL / address field at the top of your browser as a shortcut to the next batch of fractals.  Or to a specific one that you want to see.

Other helpful features are the use of thumbnail borders.  In most browsers there is a thin line around the edge of each thumbnailed image.  Once a thumbnail has been clicked it will change from blue to red.  The filename under that thumbnailed image will also change from blue to red.  You will only see this happen once you have returned to a gallery page where you have either clicked on a thumbnailed image or viewed an image full-screen.  I chose a white background for all of my gallery pages so you could judge each fractal on its own merits.  Some people like to use colored or even tiled backgrounds.  But those can make it harder to see or appreciate the images being shown.  Originally these volumes were to be produced onto 2-disc CD-ROM catalogs.  They are uploaded as two volumes each sized for use on a 700 MB CD-ROM.  By breaking them up this way it is easier to navigate the many thousands that each volume holds.
