Greetings, Sorry for delay I been busy. and didn't even get to check it for about a week. But yeah I dig it. I'm usin' it on my new HDTV like you described. Have it goin' while I listen to music.

Nice art. Was wondering if you do any animating of the fractals, with fast color cycling.

Hi Bruce,

I would of course say that this is a fractal music group, but we're a
bit quiet here just now - we tend to have creative bursts - so seeing something different is welcome.

Wow!! this is cross-stitch for the 21st century!

I would highly recommend taking a look at these incredible images.

Now.... I wonder what these things would sound like if they were passed through an image to sound translator like Coagula??

Best wishes,

Gavin.

From Vol001. I've used this one to regenerate to 20480 x 15360 (40+ MB file.) It took over 10 hours to create as a Massive Fractal. This is a color fractal. I played with the color profile until I got something close to greyscale. I think it adds oomph to the detail.

saldegal - What a striking image! The B+W certainly adds impact! 10/27/2004

This is from Vol001. Fractals are like clouds. Each person sees something different when looking at the same one. What do you see?

RNGOERNER -I could be generous and say a balloon sculpture, but somehow I do not think that was your intention. Seems a clever way of circumventing potential restrictions by putting the burden on the viewer. None-the-less, your image is well done. 10/18/2004

kimpe - A Cool and different image. 10/18/2004

Rykk - WAY cool depth/3d look to this fractal. Yep, it definitely has some overtones too it - for folks with dirty minds! Or it looks like the back of my ex-wife's mouth as she yelled at her kids and I. - lol Nice job! 10/28/2004

invidiosa - the maw of ambition!! - this is an open mouth that looks like an intriguing room, but is really a trap, and on the bottom, the floor are the leftover bits of the previous victims 10/30/2004

Here's a cool little black & white from Lost Vol001a. Ever had the problem of naming something? Well take that and compound it by 30,000 ;)

For the sake of naming things around here I thought something ludicrous like this was due. Also I've got two free fractal downloads worth checking out.

From Lost Vol001a. This is a 3D inversion (flipped upside down.) With neon pink and green colors, it extends into the darkness a little more than the eye can see.

invidiosa - this is so small - but i like the colours and how they get lost in the darkness, as if the lighting is accidental - and how these structures extrude away into the distant space - a wonderful piece 12/12/2004

(Red Thing)

Red Thing is from Lost Vol001a. A 3D relief in neon red, blue, and black.

yesitis3 - nice wave fractal. on the left it looks almost like letters, maybe the lost language of Apophysis 12/12/2004

Ranking: Excellent

Our intrepid Bagemage pioneered the field of Biomathemedical Imagining and Sciences. Here we see yet another example of his visionary work. Notice the asymetrical nature of the sample. This stems directly from the condition previously known as Bi-Polarism. There are many such instances of medical wizardry which owe a debt of gratitude to the talents of this modest, yet ingenius man...

(Fractal Pill)
Average Ranking: Excellent

When I made this the pill looked more like a cough drop. It was part experiment, part goofing around that lead to this piece. I forget which fractal I chose to map the pill. The ridges and detail that arose are darn nifty in my "unbiased" opinion..

I use Simply3D for this type of work for three reasons:

1) It runs on 486 class PCs or better
2) It is not a chore to use
3) It is not a resource hog

This file was originally created in late 1998 on my i486 DX4/100. The background either came with the program or with another. I forgot to mention the reflection in the wrapping paper. I was particularly pleased by that.

draven1972 - Neat effect. WOW! 486 havent heard that for awile. 12/17/2004
