The purpose of this page is to allow my visitors and customers the opportunity to try before they buy.  Please see the Business page for terms of use.  Below are the system requirements for using my Windows-based software.

Minimum (tested) System Requirements: Pentium 200 MHz CPU with MMX, 128 MBs RAM, 1024 by 768 video resolution, CD-ROM drive, Windows ME.  The Windows software can run on 95 - XP and was tested on Vista Home and Enterprise editions.

Customers can use memory cards, USB flash drives, Zip disks, and floppy diskettes for storage, backup, and playback media.  Video Art that places a high demand on the CPU and your video display tend to flash many images per second.  Such demo files are at the bottom of this page.  They are called "sub millisecond Video Art".  The name felt right when I assigned it, even if it technically may not be accurate.

My animated .GIFs (anigifs for short) can be enjoyed from any operating system (Apple, Linux, Windows).  These typically load and loop endlessly in your web browser.  They can also be viewed in most image browsers like ACDSee.  For the sake of a speedy download my anigifs have a resolution of 320 x 240.  These are used to give you an idea of the HD fractal animations that they represent.  They are also useful on smaller computing screens such as  PDAs, Smart Phones, and other pocketable computer / entertainment devices.  .

Test files for Pocket PC have a video resolution of 320 by 240.  Each is optimized for clarity of screen versus the colorful backgrounds of my fractals.

(FREE Screen Savers)

Each of these samples will randomize their arrangement of the same set of fractals each time they are played.  The interval rate tells you how long a fractal remains on the screen before being replaced by another fractal.  The sample for Volume001 displays a  fractal once every second.  These behave in a manner similar to my Windows-based self-randomizing Video Art.  The chief difference here is these will stop when any key is pressed, when any mouse button is clicked, when the scroll wheel is moved, or when the pointing device (mouse, stylus, trackball, etc) is moved.

Each of these samples will randomize their arrangement of the same set of fractals each time they are played.  The interval rate tells you how long a fractal remaons on the screen before being replaced by another fractal.  The sample for Volume001 displays a  fractal once every second.  To exit the program simply press the ESCape key once, or press either the LEFT or RIGHT arrow key once.

Sample Screen Savers

Each sample screen saver displays random images each time the software is run.  They are preset to loop until the program is exited.  Screen savers are best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024x768 or larger.  Any mouse or pointing device movement as well as keyboard use will exit the screen saver.

"sub-millsecond" Software Video Art (test files info)

The system these were created on has the following specs:

1.2GHz AMD Duron, Windows ME, 576 MB RAM, 24-bit color, 1024x768 resolution (standard XGA)

(non-looping test files)

These are examples of HD self-randomizing fractal slide shows.  I produce both non-looping and looping varities.  You may wish to use these test files to verify your computer / video gear is capable of showing these flashing patterns.  Each of the test files below is about 29 MBs in size.  They each use the same 100 fractals.  File "test001-looping_1000" should show a fractal once per second.  File "test002-looping_500" should show two fractals every second.  They will play self-randomizing arrangements of the same set of fractals until the program is exited.  Pressing the ESC key, UP arrow key, or DOWN arrow key will terminate the program.

test001_1000, test002_900, test003_800, test004_700, test005_600, test006_500, test007_400, test008_300, test009_200, test010_100, test011_090, test012_080, test013_070, test014_060, test015_050, test016_040, test017_030, test018_020, test019_010

(looping test files)

Looping files use the same 100 greyscale fractals that are used in the above non-looping versions.

test001-looping_1000, test002-looping_500, test003-looping_100, test004-looping_050, test005-looping_010, test006-looping_005, test007-looping_001
