Sample Screen Savers

Each sample screen saver displays random images each time the software is run.  They are preset to loop until the program is exited.  Screen savers are best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024x768 or larger.  Any mouse or pointing device movement as well as keyboard use will exit the screen saver.

Hardware Specs:

These files were created using a 500MHz Windows ME PC, with 320 MBs RAM, and video resolution set to 32-bit color at 1280x1024.  Screen Savers that have an interval rate of 1 to 30 seconds will work on any Windows PC (95 through Vista.) Tested hardware featured a Pentium 200MHz CPU with MMX, 128 MBs RAM, 24-bit color, resolution of 1024 x 768.  Use the sample file at the top of the page for testing on your computer and/or HD TV.

Sub-millisecond Video Art (test files info)

Test files use the same 100 greyscale fractals.  The fractals do not remain on your screen long enough to cause burn-in.  Burn-in happens when an image remains static on a screen too long.  When running quick flashing images it is best to use them on a display technology that has at least 2 to 5 millisecond refresh time.  The test and sample files are here to allow you to run trials on your computer gear.

The system these were created on has the following specs:

1.2GHz AMD Duron, Windows ME, 576 MB RAM, 24-bit color, 1024x768 resolution (standard XGA)

(non-looping test files)

Test files are roughly 29 MBs each.  Play length is an approximation in minutes : seconds.  As an example test file 10 at 100 milliseconds will play for 25 seconds.

(looping test files)

Looping files use the same 100 greyscale fractals that are used in the above non-looping versions.  Each is roughly 29 MBs.  They will play self-randomizing arrangements of the same set of fractals until the program is exited.  Pressing the ESC key, UP arrow key, or DOWN arrow key will terminate the program.
